Headed out for qualifying which went fairly well finishing 4th overall behind, Matt Swaffer, Will Davison and Owen Darch with a best time of 1:57.935.
Had a good start and heading into the chicane was neck and neck with Owen Darch as be both got on the brakes there was a minor touch and we slowed more than expected, turn into the chicane and was collected but Mark Palmer who hit the passenger side read quarter unfortunately spinning me round where I was collected by Rob Cooper on the drivers side rear wing. Unfortunate but I should feel lucky that no one hit the passenger compartment as this could have been a lot more serious.
And that was the end of 2017 for me, unfortunately the car is too badly damaged to realistically be rebuilt before Snetterton. It should be repairable but I'd rather take my time and do the job properly and also replace the front wings and valance at the same time, so it 2018 the car is looking as good as new.
